Melissa Gorga How I Got My Pop-Star Body

Photo by David Yellen for Life & Style

We all know the latest addition to Real Housewives of New Jersey has a great body -- even when she's surrounded by her pasta eating family! So how does Melissa Gorga stay fit, you ask?

"There is no dieting going on in the Gorga household! I can't diet! I stay active so I can eat what I want," Melissa told Life & Style. However, she adds, "I'm not a huge meat-and-potatoes girl. I tend to go for lighter meals, because that's what I enjoy."

After her 3 C-sections, she began meeting with her trainer Kelly Giordano three times a week for hourlong weight workouts. But with three babies, she's not left with much time. "I'm up and down the stairs and running around the house, so I feel I get cardio that way."

"I think you need to figure out which part of your body is your best and focus on it and flaunt it."

Melissa Gorga Releases New Single 'On Display'

Real Housewives of New Jersey's Melissa Gorga premiered her first single "On Display" this morning on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest."

Speaking of the other Real Housewives' music careers she said, “I think they all have wonderful songs. I think it’s a little different though. I just think that everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s good, I like it. That was my first, as they go on they get better and better and better. The ballad is ridiculous.”

Bravo Already Filming RHONJ Season 4

Can't get enough of the Real Housewives of New Jersey? Neither can anyone else -- and apparently Bravo is well aware of it. They are already filming season 4!

This is most likely because of the high ratings for the show, and these days it is rare that Bravo wait an entire year to begin airing a new season of such a successful show.

And to top it all off, Bravo is reportedly adding another housewife to the cast. So if that is true, a 6th member is already filming with the current cast.

I was pretty content with the women they have now, what do you all think?

Melissa Gorga & Family Enjoy 4th Of July Holiday

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga spent the 4th of July holiday with her hubby Joe and their children doing what every family loves to do -- going to the boardwalk. She took to her Twitter account to post some pictures of herself, and her little cuties!

Teresa Giudice's Family Feud Still Going Strong

We've all seen the on-screen tension flaring between Teresa Giudice and her brother Joe Gorga on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Well, things aren't any different off-screen. In fact, judging by what she recently told Celebuzz, they are only getting worse with time. But it seems like it isn't necessarily their fault.

"I am at a loss when it comes to Melissa (Gorga). Clearly we can’t be a family if she doesn’t want us to be, and I’ve tried everything I can think of to love her. I refuse to bash her in the press or on Twitter, even though she has no problem doing the same to me. She not only posts little digs, she compliments the most hateful bloggers that write horrible things about my kids!"

Melissa recently told People Magazine, "I knew it would make my sister-in-law go insane if we joined the show. Teresa never wanted us around, so I guess this is karma. She should have kept her family close to her."

That doesn't really sound like someone willing to reconcile. However, she turned the tables and wrote in her Bravo blog, “I will stop at nothing to fix this.”

Teresa maintains, "I love my brother and would do anything to have him in my life full-time again." No word on what kind of relationship she'd like to have with Melissa, if any.

As for the rumors that she and Joe's marriage is on the rocks she says, "Joe and I are not getting a divorce. We aren’t separated; never have been. We are happily married. I love him as much as the day we got married."

Don't forget to watch Real Housewives Of New Jersey on it's new night - Sundays at 10:00pm on Bravo TV.

Kathy Wakile: "I'm Caught In The Middle"

http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/real-housewives-new-jersey-kathy-wakile-melissa-teresa-bravo.jpgIt's was Thanksgiving in the world of Real Housewives of New Jersey last night, but Kathy Wakile's family didn't quite together for the holidays.

While she attended a dinner over at cousin-in-law and fellow housewife Melissa Gorga's place, her cousin, Teresa Giudice, was celebrating separately with her immediate family, friends, and fellow housewives. Kathy wishes things could be different.

"I'm caught in the middle," Kathy tells Zap2it. "I do love Teresa, I love Joe and I love Melissa. I hope that family can survive arguments and issues and we can come full circle... I'm always that girl that looks at the glass half-full and never looks it as half-empty. And there's always a chance."

Rewinding back to when Kathy was still making her decision to join the series, she tells us that Teresa was very angry about the possibility - a reaction the new housewife didn't quite understand.

"I can't see why, for me it would make me feel more comfortable, to be honest," she says. "If someone from my family or a good friend of my mine was approached, it would be fun for me because I would say, 'You know what? This is great. They're going to pull somebody on, why not pull somebody that I love and somebody I care about and that I know we will get along?' That's the way I would see it."

Joe Gorga May Never Forgive Sister Teresa

http://lynnnchicago101.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/rhonj-melissa-and-joe.jpgAfter the huge christening blowout on the premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey, tension has remained high between Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga. On last night’s episode, Teresa took the first step in trying to mend their relationship by writing her brother and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, an apology letter. But Joe is not ready to grant Teresa forgiveness.

Teresa extended an olive branch of peace to her younger brother, Joe, by writing a letter to him.

She began the letter with, “Sometimes when we speak, neither one of us really listens,” speaking to their hot-headed tempers. She continues to apologize for hurting him and his family and asked if he would meet her face-to-face to mend their family.

Melissa was shocked with the apology, but Joe wasn’t having it.

“She hurt you. She hurt me. She hurt our kids. It’s hard to let it go,” he said.

Then Melissa asked him point-blank if he was ready to never speak to Teresa again.

His reply: “If she is who she is now? Yes, I’m willing never to speak to her again. Absolutely.”

Kathy Wakile: Caught In The Middle On RHONJ

http://img.poptower.com/pic-51735/kathy-wakile-real-housewives-new-jersey.jpg?d=600So far this season on Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bravo shifted the big feud from Danielle Staub and the Manzos to Teresa Giudice's family drama. Yet, Teresa's cousin, Kathy Wakile, says she had no idea at first that she was even being considered for the same show Teresa was on.

"Maybe it was naive on my part," Kathy tells Zap2it after we asked her if she thought Bravo was interested in her because of her connection to Teresa. "I really had no idea it was even for the Housewives."

The new housewife says her relationship to Teresa isn't something she flaunted. She has never shared the same last name as her cousin, doesn't tag Teresa in photos on Facebook, and she didn't like to tell people that her cousin was on the show until she really knew them.

"I didn't do that," she explains. "Because I would always like to establish myself for who I truly am on my own."

Of course, the cat's out of the bag now and to viewers it seems as if she sides with Teresa's sister-in-law and new cast member, Melissa Gorga, against her cousin. But, Kathy says that was never her intention.

"It's never been a team for me," she says. "I never wanted to choose between Melissa or Teresa. As I said before, I grew up with Teresa. Teresa is my cousin and I love her. I looked at her like a little sister. When Joe and Melissa got married, I looked at Melissa like a cousin too. And we all got along really, really well initially. And what happened was Teresa's life got busier."

Kathy explains Teresa became busy with her life and small kids while her own kids were becoming old enough to do social activities and Kathy needed to be with them. So, the cousins drifted apart. Meanwhile, she began to spend more time with Melissa, who even though she had small children too, she stayed closer to home and could spend time with Kathy.

"It wasn't a divide that was intentional by any means," Kathy says. "But still sometimes Teresa sees it that way. It was not intended to be that way."

Teresa Giudice: RHONJ Destroying My Family

http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/replicate/EXID14380/images/Teresa_Giudice_Real_Housewives_New_Jersey_bankruptcy_family_portrait.jpgTeresa Giudice used to have a fairly harmonious family, but in a new, shocking interview with In Touch, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star reveals that the hit Bravo show is ripping apart her family.

The acrimonious relations reached a high point after her younger brother, Joe Gorga — who, along with his wife Melissa yearn for the fame Teresa has achieved — called his sister “garbage” and fought with her husband Joe, at the christening of Gorga’s son Joey.

Teresa tells In Touch, she doesn’t want to “stoop down to Melissa’s level” and refuses to use the word “jealous” to describe her brother and sister-in-law, but her husband isn’t: “Melissa is the most jealous person in the world, and she’s a liar.”
Teresa says the situation with her brother is causing marital strife, with Joe telling In Touch, “I told her a bunch of times not to mention the brother in front of me—I don’t want to hear it and when I hear the name I get pissed off…There have been a couple of times when she has said the name, and I almost did leave.”

While Joe may not want to hear their names, Gorga and his wife aren’t leaving the show anytime soon–and that’s a problem, since Teresa says her daughters have been bullied since their uncle and aunt began appearing on the show. “The other day at school, a kid went up to my daughter and said, ‘Your family is embarassing. She told me she was crying.”

Even Teresa’s father has been negatively impacted by the family turmoil: Suffering from emphysema, he was noticeable agitated during the fight at the christening. “It’s breaking my heart,” says Teresa. “My brother knows how sick our dad is. I don’t know why he would do what he did.

Adding insult to injury are reports that Teresa’s brother has been urging his wife to speak out against Teresa. “I’m so appauled they’re doing this just to be on TV,” she says. “You really shouldn’t air your dirty laundry on TV, and my brother and his wife are making it so much worse for us all.”

Melissa On Make Up W/ Teresa: 'Not Happening'

http://hollywoodoncrack.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/real-housewives-new-jersey-gossip-melissa-gorga.jpgAfter last week's blowup at the christening in the premiere episode, Real Housewives of New Jersey fans got a taste of the drama to come.

Zap2it has already spoken to new housewife Melissa Gorga about the details surrounding her joining the show and how she felt about her son's christening being ruined, but we still have a whole season ahead of us.

In this part of their interview, they spoke to her about the chances of reconciliation this season and what we can expect as the season unfolds.

Teresa has had a rough year. Did you reach out to her when all that bankruptcy stuff was going down?
Um, yes, actually I did. I did call her a couple times, but she was always in denial and didn't want to talk about it. And you know the relationship I have with her I didn't want to throw it in her face. I didn't want to call too much and too often, because there was a new story every single day. You know, her husband's going to jail, her husband's doing fraud, and I was like, 'What am I going to do? Call every time I see something in the paper?'

In the premiere, Teresa says she was happy when you married her brother and wanted a relationship, but you acted cold with her. Is that true?
No. I have both sisters down The Shore and she was going to be the only sister that I had. And I really did want a relationship with her. And I feel we did try in the beginning. And she did try. But little by little, the things she would say, the way that she was was very different from the way that I was and we started to bump heads. And as Joey and I started to become more successful, I think she started to change and her personality toward me started to change. And she looked at me as a competitor instead of a sister-in-law and that's when things just started to go downhill and all of that was just bizarre to me, because I have none of that going on in my family. And I have two older sisters and cousins everywhere, so I'm not used to that.

What can we expect of you this season?
You're going to see a lot of my interaction with my husband. He's hysterical I have to say. He and I together are a power couple and we're great and we really compliment each other well throughout the whole season. So, you're going to see a lot of me and my husband. A lot of me being a little bit of everything where I cook, I clean and now I'm going on this journey to be a singer. And I have incredible producers who have worked with Brittany Spears and Beyonce coming into my home and I sing next to a piano a capella. And you're going to see my journey all the way up to my first performance, to my first live singing performance. So, it's an amazing journey you're going to take with me on the whole ride of my music career.

Melissa Gorga Considered Leaving RHONJ

http://static.poponthepop.com/images/gallery/melissa-gorga-of-real-housewives-of-new-jersey_256x632.jpgIs the newbie star of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga, not tough enough to run with the Garden State's most famous table flipper?

Melissa – sister-in-law to Teresa Giudice – told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Friday's Access Hollywood Live that she considered leaving the series after a fight broke out at her son's baptism reception.

"That was crazy!" she said of the fracas that started after her husband, Joe Gorga, called his sister Teresa "garbage," which incensed Teresa's husband, Joe Giudice, and led to the massive brawl featured on the show's season premiere.

"It was sad," Melissa continued. "It's obviously not because Teresa came over and said hello. It's deep, it's deep and I think you're going to see play out on the rest of the show."

The new "Housewife" claimed she doesn't want to be a wedge between her husband and his sister.

"I do not want Teresa and [my husband] Joe to be apart," she told Billy and Kit. "I want them to be together and I'm kind of stuck between a brother and a sister who are having this quarrel… This happens in everyone's families. How many people get along wonderfully with their sister-in-laws? I don't know many!"

The mother of three, who dismissed claims that she's jealous of her sister-in-law and also denied ever asking Teresa to arrange for her to become a cast member, explained why she wanted to leave the hit Bravo series after the baptism melee.

"It was hard to watch, it's still hard. You know from the second I saw it, right after the baptism happened. I wanted off the show. I called the producers, 'This is crazy, I can't do this.' But, it happened. I'm in it now," she explained.

Is the worst behind the "Housewives" of New Jersey?

"That was the roughest episode… it gets better," she said. "You're going to see our relationship mend and you're going to see ups and you're going to see downs, it's a rollercoaster ride."

Teresa & Melissa's Post-Christening Reunion

When Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga reunite on Monday's Real Housewives of New Jersey just days after their explosive spat at Gorga's son's christening, the mood is anything but light.

While Giudice tries to make nice when she connects with Gorga at a fashion show, Gorga wants nothing of it.

"She acted exactly how I expected," Gorga says in a sneak preview from Monday's all-new episode. "I knew she'd walk in there [offering] hugs and kisses and try to make conversation as if we didn't just have an explosive christening. I knew she'd do that."

Giudice tells Us Weekly she has few memories of the christening day, which ended in her husband and brother hurling expletives and punches in a brawl that rivaled Danielle Staub's infamous 2010 hair-pulling incident.

"It's still a whole blur to me," Giudice says of the christening. "I blacked out that day and it's still blurry to me. It was a crazy day."

As the clip above shows, Giudice still holds a grudge against Gorga -- especially when she tries to befriend Caroline Manzo.

"Melissa doesn't faze me," Giudice says, before her jealousy rages when Gorga chats up Manzo.

"Melissa and [Giudice's cousin Kathy Wakile] can kiss up to [Caroline] all they want, I know she's really my friend!" Giudice snaps.

Melissa Gorga: Inside Shocking Family Fight

http://www.lifeandstylemag.com/2011/05/18/Large-Cover_1122FinalCover.jpg

Teresa Giudice and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga's on screen fight during the May 16 premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey has been called one of the worst fights in TV history, but the feud is even worse off screen! New Housewives cast members, Teresa's brother Joe and wife Melissa, sat down with Life & Style for an exclusive interview and photo shoot to reveal what really went down that shocking night and the history of their family drama.

"I was so upset," Melissa tells Life & Style about the brawl at her son's christening. "Teresa's never given us any respect. She was being fake, just acting nice for the cameras."

In fact, screen time may have been Teresa's main motivation for attending the family affair at all. "My sister didn't even want to be there," Joe tells Life & Style. "She'd just signed her Housewives contract that morning or the day before because she was mad that we were on the show." Melissa, Joe and their three children live in a 15,000-square-foot custom-built mansion in Montville, N.J. "I think when Joe and I started making a lot of money is when she really lost it," Melissa says. "She was used to being the biggest and the best, and then when I came in, she felt threatened. She doesn't want anyone to one up her. Teresa's fine with you as long as you're one step below."

Things got so bad, the Gorgas found themselves ushered into corners during Housewives tapings, barred from book signings and 300-person premiere parties and their daughter excluded from birthday parties. But the most hurtful was when his sister tried turning their parents against Joe and his wife. "Teresa would tell our parents 'Melissa this,' 'Melissa that' or 'Joey didn't do this,' and my parents have never been the same," Joe confides. "Her husband talks about me to them all the time, too."

Still, they both hope someday the family fighting will end. "Things couldn't get any worse, so I'm hoping it only gets better post-show. Maybe we can become a family again," Melissa tells Life & Style. Joe adds," I have wonderful kids, a beautiful house, the whole package-- but I don't have my family. I'm crying out for my family."

Do You Miss Danielle Staub On The RHONJ?

http://www.thehottopics.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/teresa-giudice-danielle-staub.jpg

Season 3 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey started on a dramatic note Monday night – with an epic brawl at Teresa Giudice's nephew's christening.

Plus, there are two new Housewives – both related to Giudice – in the mix now that the show's villain, Danielle Staub, is gone.

While Giudice is certainly a drama magnet, Staub, in an interview with E! Online, recently predicted that ratings would suffer in her absence.

"I brought the [drama]," Staub, 48, said. "People either loved me or hated me, but they were paying attention. This [season] is just full out nasty family fighting. Everyone's got that. Where's the element of surprise there?
