The Salahis Turned Down For Stint On RHOBH

The Salahi's apparently still think people care what they are up to.. but Bravo has given them a nice dose of reality by rejecting their plea to be on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

They are renting a $20K/mo pad in the swanky neighborhood where they will possibly be raising a new addition to their family (Michaele Salahi is planning on having a baby via surrogate in the near future).

TMZ sources reveal that the Salahi's manager had been in talks to get them in on the drama filled season 2 of RHOBH but Andy Cohen simply said, "We're not interested." Ouch.

She is choosing surrogacy because she has multiple sclorosis and fears that combined with her age (45) the baby may suffer complications.

Michael, who visited the Northern Virginia Center for Surrogate Parenting a few days ago, adds, "I'm overjoyed with the hope of starting a family and the blessing of love and peace a child will bring to our lives."

Both are eerily lifelike - just sayin'.

Cat Ommanney vs Countess LuAnn De Lesseps

http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/watch-what-happens-live-cat-ommanney-luann-delesseps.jpg

If there's one thing we can say for Andy Cohen, he knows how to mix it up on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. On Thursday's (April 28) episode, not only did he have former Real Housewives of DC cast member, Cat Ommanney, on after the network unceremoniously canceled her series, but he threw in divorced royal, the Real Housewives of New York's LuAnn De Lesseps.

It didn't take long before Cat began showing her dislike for LuAnn when Andy played a game in which The Countess judged the Brit (who made tabloid headlines after making out with Prince Harry) on her royal manners.

Not only that, but Cat took to Twitter and Facebook to make sure her feelings on The Countess were clear.

"Sorry everyone, I just wanted to clarify," she writes. "I REALLY DIDN'T ENJOY at all, being on #WWHL with @countessluann infact thought she was #notmybagatall #condescending and hope we never cross paths again #ever."

So, what did LuAnn have to say in response? "Well that was fun....," she tweets.

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/photos/image_20110421/DSC0143.jpg

Real Housewives of DC show is over, but that isn’t stopping one of the stars from going on extravagant vacation in her rockin' bikini.

Catherine “Cat” Ommanney, the British national who’s said to have had a fling with Prince Harry, showed off her killer bikini bod last week in Barbados, and Radar Online has the exclusive photos from her trip!

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/photos/image_20110421/DSC0195.jpghttp://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/photos/image_20110421/DSC0193.jpg

In her sexy black bikini, Cat got frisky with new beau Ricky Martino in the surf, seductively wrapping her legs around him while they passionately kissed.

The pair spent time at a luxurious resort and a source who spotted them told Radar Online: “They couldn’t keep their hands off each other.”

“He’s lovely, funny, talented and ambitious,” Ommanney said of Martino. “I’m totally relaxed. There’s no expectations. We’re having a nice time. We’re having fun.”

Michaele Salahi: Cops Called for Death Threats

http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/michaele-salahi-gi.jpg

Former Real Housewives of DC star Michaele Salahi claims someone's been stalking her and making death threats -- and TMZ has learned her husband placed a frantic 911 call for her protection.

The Salahis tell TMZ the man in question placed a call to the Sheriff's Department in Fauquier County, VA last Sunday -- and falsely reported that Tareq had broken into a winery co-owned by Tareq's family.

Deputies tell us they found no evidence of a break-in -- but they were called back to the winery when Tareq and Michaele found out the original call came from the alleged stalker.

We're told the Salahis filed a police report and the case is now under investigation.

According to the Salahis, the man has been tailing Michaele, shooting photos and video ... and also sending death threats and obscene messages.

The Salahis say they're going to request a protective order.

Michaele Salahi Is NO Playboy Cover Model

http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2010/09/16/alg_resize_michaele-salahi.jpg

Alleged White House crasher Michaele Salahi has finally taken her NUDE pics for Playboy -- but TMZ has learned she's just been informed by the mag that she WILL NOT be featured on the cover.

Sources involved with the spread tell us ... The Real Housewives of D.C. star received an email from Playboy honchos informing her, "There is no opportunity this calendar year to offer you a cover opportunity or place for your pictorial."

Playboy informed Michaele the company would instead feature her on the website -- explaining, "We had hoped an issue would be available to present you in the pages of the magazine first. However, that does not seem likely and we do not want to keep them from our readers any longer."

If it's any consolation -- the Playboy rep told Salahi the pics were, "AMAZING!"

DC On Cancellation: Get Over Yourself Michaele

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Mary+Amons+Bravo+Real+Housewives+C+Premiere+ljp2nMa6A4Fl.jpgAfter Bravo officially announced that the Real Housewives of D.C. wouldn't be returning to the small screen, former castmates Lynda Erkiletian and Catherine Ommanney talked to Radar Online exclusively about their disappointment.

Catherine also had some harsh words for Michaele Salahi, addressing her recent comments that there can't be a Real Housewives of D.C. without her.

"Get over yourself, Michaele! There are a lot of things that can be done without you, actually a majority of things which aren't psychologically disturbing," Catherine told Radar Online exclusively.

"I think there was disappointment and relief," Lynda told Radar Online of the network pulling the plug.

But Catherine said she wasn't shocked by the news. "I was slightly disappointed, but not really surprised. It was the right decision.

"Bravo knew that we weren't prepared to work with Michaele again. I don't think any money or fortune or success was worth the mental strain with her, full stop. I couldn't do that again," said Catherine, who's working on a follow-up to her book, Inbox Full.

Catherine was quick to point out Michaele wasn't the reason for the cancellation. Lynda agrees, adding that she would have come back -- without Michaele.

"I wouldn't have done it if Michaele was a part of it, mainly because I found her husband to be unpredictable and scary at times."

The ladies understand the network's decision, but it doesn't soften the blow.

For now, the ladies still stay in touch, but not with Michaele, who they haven't seen since last year's televised reunion: "We're trying to be there to support each other," Lynda said. "That will continue."

Michaele Salahi: RHODC Can't Happen W/O Me

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2010/stylewatch/blog/100927/michaele-salahi-240.jpgThere are two big shut downs in D.C. this week. But it's Bravo's cancellation of Real Housewives of D.C. after just one season that has former star Michaele Salahi pointing fingers.

"I sort of knew this was going to happen," Salahi, famous for being accused of crashing the White House in November 2009 and stirring up her fellow cast mates, tells PEOPLE. "The other women didn't want me back on the show, and [Bravo executive] Andy [Cohen] stood his ground and said there wouldn't be a show without me on it. I'm grateful to him for that."

Bravo pulled the plug on the show Thursday, despite having what Cohen described in a statement as "an amazing season" that "told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise."

"I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity," Cohen's statement continued.

While Salahi says she would have been able to fake it for the camera if there had been a season two – "I'm a great actress," she says – it wouldn't be quite as easy to play nice with the D.C. ladies.

"There was so much negativity with the other women," she says. "If they could blow me up, they would. That's how much they hate me."

She added: "I've moved on," referring to her quick stint on VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. "I have an offer for a show that is still in the works. I'm happy."

The Real Housewives Of DC Officially Canceled

http://static.thehollywoodgossip.com/images/gallery/the-real-housewives-of-dc-cast-pic_485x364.jpgReal Housewives of DC has been canceled by Bravo.

The fifth series in the reality franchise premiered last year, but the network has now announced that it will not be returning for a second season, according to reports.

The show had featured Michaele and Tareq Salahi among its cast, who hit headlines across the world when they were accused of attending a White House state dinner without invitations, although they denied the allegation.

Other cast members included Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney and Stacie Scot Turner.

The Real Housewives franchise began with Real Housewives of OC in 2006 and has since expanded to include series in New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Beverly Hills and Miami.

The cancellation of the DC installment marks the first time Bravo has ended a Real Housewives project.

Michaele Taking Legal Action Against 'Rehab'

http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/citydesk/files/2009/11/TANDM.jpgAfter being forced out of Celebrity Rehab, Michaele Salahi is taking legal action, Radar Online has learned exclusively.

Michaele's mother Rosemary Holt tells Radar Online exclusively, "It's in the hands of the lawyer. I encouraged her because things have gone too far."

As Radar Online was first to report, a production source said that the so-called White House Gatecrasher-turned-Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the VH-1 reality show earlier this month because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

Holt says her daughter is in the early stages of her legal battle against the show.

"I just want her name not to be abused. I want her to have a legal say in this."

Michaele and her husband Tareq first gained fame when they allegedly crashed a White House state dinner in 2009.

They went on to butt heads with every other cast member on the Real Housewives of D.C. Radar Online was first to reveal that Bravo has not renewed the reality show for a second season.

But Michaele's mom is standing by her daughter.

"I told her, 'Even if you don't get anything resolved money-wise, at least it will resolve your reputation'."

Lynda Erkiletian Talks RHODC Season 2

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/bg/Lynda+Erkiletian+Celebs+9th+Annual+Operation+48_u2SlGisDl.jpg

As reported on Thursday (March 24), news that Bravo would not be renewing the Real Housewives of DC for a second season spread on the Internet.

And even though the network clearly stated that it had not made a decision regarding the show's Season 2, the reports continued. Now, one of the cast members wants to set the record straight.

"There's no official announcement," cast member Lynda Erkiletian tells Zap2it exclusively. "There's no way. [Cast member Cat Ommanney] is going on Watch What Happens Live on the 28th. One might wonder why [Andy Cohen is] having a DC housewife as a guest [if the show is canceled]."

"There's negotiations taking place," she adds. "And no decision has taken place. Whoever started the rumor was basically doing it for attention."

It's Over For The Real Housewives Of D.C.

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/HWDC.jpgThey’re tearing out the hair extensions and folding up those power suits – as, after just one season, the Real Housewives Of DC has bitten the dust, Radar Online can exclusively report.

The fifth installation of the hit reality franchise came in with a whimper and never much took off from there, drawing meager ratings all throughout it’s short lived broadcast.

“The show just didn’t do well and it wasn’t worth airing another season,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online.

“The DC housewives were meant to be starting shooting their second season now and they haven’t heard a peep from Bravo.

“No one from the cast has been contacted yet and told that the show is cancelled.”

Radar Online has learned that the DC franchise isn’t the only Housewives show that has been struggling to lure viewers – Miami has also been performing poorly in the ratings war, forcing producers to reassess any further expansion.

“After DC failed in the ratings and Miami just bombed, they realized they can’t just start a show anywhere and it will succeed,” the source said.

Michaele Salahi Talks 'Celebrity Rehab' Exit

Tareq Salahi and his Real Housewives of D.C. wife Michaele Salahi sat down with us for their first TV interview to give their side of the story regarding Michaele's exit from VH1's Celebrity Rehab.

Michaele claimed that she was under the impression that she could enter the rehab facility for treatment of MS, but was asked to leave the Pasadena Recovery Center almost immediately since she did not suffer from an addiction. VH1 tells ET the treatment program that Celebrity Rehab documents "is intended for individuals with serious substance abuse and addiction issues" and "found that she did not meet such criteria."

Michaele tells ET, "They always knew I didn't have an addiction. I always said that from the very beginning. I'm here because I relapsed with MS and I never want to turn to those pills again. It's scary."

She adds, "Alcoholism, addiction, drug addiction, those are things that are serious diseases, but Multiple Sclerosis is just as serious, and it's debilitating. You can end up in a wheelchair. I've had times where I couldn't walk across a room out of my bed, so I really believed when I went [to Celebrity Rehab] that they wouldn't bring me there unless they were going to help me. So to be told that, 'Yes, we can help you,' and then a week later to be ... literally discarded, it was very emotional, very painful, and I don't want to look back on it."

In spite of this unpleasant experience, Michaele reveals that she wouldn't mind starring in yet another reality program.

"I'd love to do Dancing with the Stars," said Michaele. "That's where I should've gone."

Cat Ommanney Launches New Book Inbox Full

http://www.thegeorgetowndish.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/featured_article_image/article-images/signing.jpg

Friday night, Cat Ommanney, one of the Real Housewives of D.C. launched her new book Inbox Full to a packed house at Eden.

Looking resplendent in an aqua dress, the UK native delighted guests of the event by not only her appearance, but her candor.

She describes her book as "a cross between Eat, Pray Love and Bridget Jones’ Diary." Sounds iike a ‘must read’ to me. As you might have guessed, the title refers to emails and text messages received throughout her earlier years.

Michaele Salahi's Mom Talks 'Celebrity Rehab'

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/books/blog/michaele%20salahi.jpgMichaele Salahi’s mother is fuming over her daughter’s recent boot from Celebrity Rehab, calling it “another White House incident.

“It’s something you’re invited to go to, then you’re thrown out!” Rosemary Holt tells Radar Online exclusively.

As RadarOnline was first to report, a production source said that the White House Gatecrasher-turned-Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the VH-1 reality show on Tuesday because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

“She never said she had an addiction,” says her mother.

“She was asked to leave because she didn’t have an addiction? She doesn’t! she doesn’t!” Holt exclaims. “She was brought on the show for the purpose of helping her to deal. This is wrong what’s happening to her.

“I know the whole story from the time she left here and the paperwork she’d done and the contracts. She was asked to come on, it wasn’t her choice to come on. She was asked to.

“At first I was negative about it. Then I thought maybe she needs something like this.”

Although she couldn’t address specifics, Holt alluded to other reasons Michaele was asked to star on the show.

“She was brought on, she was told to talk about her feelings, how she survived the White House, her feelings, how she dealt with Bravo and when she went before Congress…,” she says. “That’s what she was brought on for. Then all of a sudden she’s there…the things I heard why she was there…I said ‘you don’t belong there.’

“They signed a contract with my daughter, but yet they can put her out?! Explain that to me. But Missy has to remain with her confidentiality. It should work both ways.”

Michaele Out Of "Rehab," Expose In The Works

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/POSTINFphoto1469545.jpgMichaele Salahi has been kicked off Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab because she lacked the one thing you need to enter rehab – an addiction!

A production source tells Radar Online exclusively that the former Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the show on Tuesday because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

"Michaele Salahi was discharged by Dr. Drew Pinsky approximately one hour ago. Michaele has a ton of issues but she clearly has no addiction issues, whatsoever,” says the source.

“Michaele was a distraction to other cast members, and was complaining that Dr. Drew wasn't properly treating her MS.

“Dr. Drew did a thorough medical examination of her, including a full neurological check-up, and she is fine. Michaele is all drama, that is her main issue."

But according to her husband Tareq, who spoke exclusively with Radar Online, Michaele only agreed to do Celebrity Rehab to get help from Dr. Drew for her Multiple Sclerosis.

"My wife takes her health situation very seriously, she has a real diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. You know, we can show you a bunch of emails about what they wanted her to pretend to be, therefore, but that's going to come out later on with one of the major networks."

"See the first episode of busting some of these reality shows open on ABC News 20/20. There will be a special on Friday and maybe more to come after that."
